SoliTech website Re-Design

It has been a few years since we designed our first website for SoliTech and it has served us well. At the time, we were looking fro a sleek, clean design that we used to create an online presence with. It listed our services, current portfolio, gave our customers a way to contact us. It also had some entry ages to some of our services.

As time went on, we got pore web development and information technology consulting projects which was great for business but they never made it onto our website or they just did not get the exposure they deserved do to the static orientation of the website.

In today’s world, information is key and the web is a great way t distribute information. Our new websit would focus on just that. We chose to use somethign that looked more like an online blog then or static site. We want to open up channels of communication with our customers and potential customers. We want to offer new way of learning about our company and wha we are all about.

We present you the new SoliTech GmbH website which promises more insight into the company and opens up new way of communication and customer feedback. Please explore our website and leave us comments on what you think.

The site uses many AJAX features for refreshing points and lists and is Search Enigin Optimized for capturing traffic. The site has exprienced healthy growth since it started and continues to do so.

This website is based on a link directory program called PHPLD which was customized with a new template and several other new features for usability. It has also had some extensieve Search Enigine Optiization work done which now brings hundreds of visitors a day. The site is hosted on our servers using the custom data plan options to handle this traffic well.

They are proud to offer you the largest online selection of decorative upholstery fabrics at affordable prices. The customer wanted to create an online shopping cart where the user can choose the fabric and the yardage.

The website featured a user friendly fabric search interface where users could easily browse through thusands of fabrics and find exactly what they were looking for. Close attention was paid to the usability of the website. After the user found their desired fabrics, they could then also determine the the number of yards needed and add the fabric to their shopping cart.

The shopping cart calculated shipping costs and fabric costs per yard and added the selections into a continuous cart inventory so multiple fabric selections were possible. The transaction was handled by PayPal which enabled the customer to use a number of payment options without the need for the client to pay high transaction fees for conventional banks.

SoliTech designed and developed this web page. Custom hosting was also provided.

This web business was discontinued by the user after a year of operation.
